Associate Director for Publications and Communications
The Associate Director for Publications and Communications directs the development and implementation of the Princeton University Art Museum's robust program of print and digital publications, ranging from scholarly publications about the collections and major exhibition catalogues to the annual Record (the Museum's scholarly journal), the quarterly full-color magazine, a hierarchy of publications that accompany exhibitions, special events, and educational programs (brochures, handouts, interpretive object labels, signs, wall texts and banners, invitations, and press releases and announcements, as well as public relations and marketing tools. The Associate Director is responsible for establishing Museum guidelines and standards relative to all use of the written word and of the Museum's graphic presentation, including publication guidelines, procedures, style manuals, and authors' contracts for curators, visiting scholars, outside authors, and student interns, and for ensuring that these standards are maintained.
Assistant Registrar for Loans and Exhibitions
Princeton University Art Museum (PUAM) is seeking an Assistant Registrar to support the registrar department with exhibition and loans activity. The Assistant Registrar will have sole responsibility for two to three assigned exhibitions per calendar year, as well as for outgoing domestic loans and incoming loans unrelated to the exhibition program. This is a full-time, two-year term position.
The Assistant Registrar will report to the Registrar and will provide general assistance and support to the registrar's office. The Assistant Registrar will work closely with Museum staff, especially registrars, curators, and preparators, as well as lenders, borrowers, fine art service providers, and other vendors.
